This is a literature review on self-determination and self-advocacy as it applies to individuals with hearing loss. As mentioned in this review, there are few accessible resources available for developing and evaluating self-determination and self-advocacy skills for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Due to the lack of resources available, we developed the Map It curriculum to fill this gap.
